Probably one of the most famous landmarks in Blackpool, Blackpool Tower proudly stands 158m (518ft 9 inches) high over Blackpool’s Golden Mile. The Tower was opened on 14th May 1894 and was inspired by and modelled on the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Blackpool Tower is so imposing that it cannot only be seen from all over Blackpool, but also from a number of nearby towns.

However, Blackpool Tower is not only an incredible piece of architecture and engineering, it is also a multi-level entertainment venue and has a number of attractions inside, including Blackpool Tower Circus, Blackpool Tower Eye, Blackpool Tower Dungeon, Blackpool Tower Ballroom and Jungle Jim’s Children’s Indoor Play. Near Blackpool Tower you will find Madame Tussauds Blackpool, SEA LIFE Blackpool and Pirate Adventure Golf.

Blackpool Tower Circus

Blackpool Tower Circus - voted ‘Best UK Circus’ - is positioned at the base of Blackpool Tower, between its four legs. Blackpool Tower Circus’s ring can be lowered into a pool of water, revealing majestic dancing fountains and allowing for incredible grand finales.

Between 31st March and 4th November 2012 Blackpool Tower Circus will stage the new Circus Show “Mooky V. Boooffalo Bill”, a new show for 2012.

As the name suggests, this all new Circus Show will have a Wild West theme. Mr. Boooffalo Bill’s show includes acts such as the Russian Swing, Wire Walking, Russian Bar, Horizontal Bar and the infamous Water Finale. This new show for 2012 will be great fun and excitement for the whole family. Don’t miss it!

Blackpool Tower Eye with 4D Cinema Experience

Before embarking on The Blackpool Tower Eye you will encounter the new 4D Cinema, Blackpool’s first ever 4D Cinema experience. In this amazing short film Blackpool is brought to life with sensory effects such as wind, rain and sunshine as you follow one little boy’s adventure at the seaside.

After you have enjoyed your 4D Cinema experience, you will be ready for your flight and will embark on your journey to the top of The Blackpool Tower to enjoy the breath taking views across Blackpool and beyond! As you step out onto the new SkyWalk you will be able to see Blackpool like never before as walk across metres of glass. It’s almost like walking on air!

Blackpool Tower Ballroom

Designed by Frank Matcham and opened in 1899, Blackpool Tower Ballroom’s floor is 120ft x 120ft and is made up of over 30,000 separate blocks of mahogany, walnut and oak.

Every day throughout the summer months, Blackpool Tower Ballroom becomes an entertainment venue. The Ballroom not only plays host to romantic tea dances accompanied by the traditional Wurlitzer organ but also hosts various shows.

Blackpool Tower Jungle Jim’s Children's Indoor Play
